The Worthen Way: Camping Trip

This weekend we attempted to go on a camping trip! We headed to Buffalo Springs Campground near Buena Vista with my brother and his girlfriend! We had planned on staying Friday thru Monday, but Jocelyn had other plans! She was so excited when we got there and ran all over the place looking at the trees and the pinecones on the ground, but about an hour after we finished setting up camp and eating dinner, she was over it and kept going to the car and saying "Go"! Poor thing! We finally got her to bed, and although we think she had a decent sleep between Jim and I, neither of us did! It was cold and we both under prepared for ourselves! When Jocelyn woke up, she was not a happy camper and obviously woke up in the wrong bed! It took her awhile to warm up and after she got some food in her she was much happier, but still wanted to go. So after lunch we decided it was best to pack up and go home. She couldn't have been happier to get in the car to go! Our trip was short-lived but we all had fun! We're hoping that now that she's at least been once, hopefully next time will be better! We'll be back Mother Nature!
