This morning while Jocelyn was at school and Nolan was down for his nap, I took the opportunity to clean up her kitchen and bring it inside to the new play area in the basement.  Jocelyn was so excited and kept thanking me, and Nolan couldn't wait to get his hands on it!  =0)  I set the table and chairs up too, so Jocelyn wanted to play "chef".  Nolan fit perfectly in the chair and was perfectly content to stay there while Jaws cooked for him.  It was very cute!

I'd been dying all summer to get Nolan to the pool, but it never happened.  Luckily our pool decided to stay open one more weekend, so I was FINALLY able to take him (Daddy and Jocelyn went too)!  And he loved it!

First we took him in the little kiddie pool and he had fun splashing with his feet, then his hands.  Then we moved to the big pool and he enjoyed it just as much!  He kicked and splashed like a little fish, and laughed when I blew bubbles.  =0)  I remember when I first took Jocelyn, and even still, she has a death grip on me or Jim in the water and won't let go for anything, but not Nolan!  Maybe it was because he was born in the water, but was carefree and having fun.  Jocelyn and Daddy had fun too.  =0)

I'm going to have to find some mom and baby swim lessons for my Mr. Fish and I to do while Jocelyn is in school!

4 Year Wellness

Today Jocelyn had her annual check-up appointment.  Only good things to report... she had both a quick hearing and vision test and passed with flying colors!  She weighed in at a little over 33lbs, and measured 39 1/4" tall, which means her BMI is right on target.  Dr. Murphy was very happy with how her social skills have improved... last time Jaws was very shy and wouldn't answer Dr. Murphy's questions, but this time she answered everything and even shared about all her new friends at school. =0)  Dr. Murphy also asked Jaws to draw her a picture of a person, and was very pleased with Jocelyn's art skills!  And she got her flu "shot" (drops in her nose), so she's all ready fr fall!  So yes, all in all it was a great appointment!

Yesterday we had a fun afternoon at Gramma and Papa's house with all the family!  Gramma invited us all over for lunch, and made pulled pork.  It was very yummy!  Gramma's food is always yummy though.  =0)

It's a good thing Papa put the baby gate up to block the stairs because Nolan was all over the place too!  And he thought it was pretty fun to crawl under the table like it was a tunnel.  Jocelyn was super crazy and full of energy, running all over the place and even around the block with Grandma Mimi.  I have no idea where she got all that energy from, but she ended up wearing herself out... she crashed in the car on the way home (around 4), then when we got home she went straight to the couch to lay down.  I asked her if she wanted to g up to her room to lay on her bed but she said no, and within a minute she was out again!  After that she woke up once around 8 when she had a little accident, but we got her cleaned up and took her up to her room and she crashed again on her bed.  We expected her to wake up at like 2 or something, but amazingly she slept through the night, waking up around 7:30 this morning!  That's about 15 hours of sleep!  We're either going to pay for it today or tonight, but that much sleep is bound to giver her so much energy she's not going to know what to do with it!  =0)

All in all it was a fun day and we all enjoyed spending time with family!  Thanks for having us Gramma & Papa! We love you!

So since we had the big Concours event to go to on Saturday, we waited to have Jocelyn's party on Sunday the 25th.  We wanted her to have a low-key relaxing party with her family and of course her best friend Lydia!  (We had also invited a few other friends too, but unfortunately they couldn't make it).  Either way she had a blast!
